Carbon Fabrics

Carbon fibers are usually combined with other materials to form a composite. When combined with resin and wound or molded it forms carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (often referred to as carbon fiber) which has a very high strength-to-weight ratio. 

Carbon fibers are very popular in aerospace, civil engineering, military, and motorsports, along with other competition sports. 

Carbon Cloth

Woven carbon fabrics are avaialble as both a Twill and a Plain  weave. 

They are generally used when  only a light carbon laminate is required for the performance of the panel or the cosmetics of the carbon structure require a high quality finish.

Like all carbon fabrics they offer:

  • high stiffness
  • high tensile strength
  • low weight
  • high chemical resistance
  • high temperature tolerance
  • low thermal expansion

Carbon Uni

Carbon Unidirectional fibre , 100% of the fibres running in the 0 direction. 

Carbon unidirectional fibres have all the unique properties of carborn fibre: high stiffness, high tensile strength, low weight, high chemical resistance, high temperature tolerance
low thermal expansion.

Carbon Double Bias

Carborn Fibre double bias fabrics are stitched together a with a 45/45 fibre orientation. 

Typical uses are the laminating and support of complex composite shapes requiring high strength and low weight.
