Vacuum and Infusion Consumables

Breather Fabric

Breather fabric performs two functions during the vacuum bag curing cycle.
The first is to allow the vacuum stack to ‘breathe’. This breathing function ensures that the air sealed under the vacuum bag can be easily extracted.
The second function, in combination with the perforated release film, is to absorb any excess resin that is bled from the laminate.

Peel Ply

Red Stripe Peel-Ply is a tightly woven nylon fabric, weighing approximately 80 grams per square meter, treated with a finish to which epoxy, polyester and vinyl resins will not bond to.
This fabric is typically laid down as the last laminate in a stack and when removed after the resin has cured leaves behind a clean, non contaminated flat laminate surface with a slight texture.
The now exposed laminate surface typically only requires a very mild sanding prior to secondary bonding.

Perforated Plastics

Perforated plastic film acts as an release film between the laminate/resin and  the consumable material stack during vacuum consolidation.
The perforations in the release film allow excess resin and volitiles to bleed though the film into the stack above and improve the quality of the cured laminate.
Our release film products have been specially formulated to suit a variety of individual composite process applications.

PTFE Film

Teflon mold release film has a self adhesive backing for a one operation mold release film, requiring no release agent for multiple pulls.
This self adhering release film can be a cost effective alternative to the more traditional release systems particularly with simple and flat shapes not requiring a high gloss finish.

Sealant Tape

High performance synthetic rubber sealant tape, used to create strong and reliable seals between moulds , tools and the vacuum bag film.
Our range of sealant tapes offer a suitable solution for vacuum bagging temperatures ranging from room temperature to 200C.

Flow Medium

Flow medium is designed to facilitate resin flow that is quick, controlled, and predictable.

It helps epoxy move evenly throughout the surface during infusion process.
